BOTOX®
As we age we develop fine wrinkles on our face. These wrinkles often form around the eyes as "crow's feet" and along the forehead both as long transverse lines and as small lines in the center pointing toward the nose. They are caused by the movement of small facial muscles under the skin. Botox® Cosmetic is a chemical that can paralyze these small muscles, and smooth out the wrinkles that overlie them. At Austin Plastic Surgery Center (TM), Botox® Cosmetic is used in very small doses administered precisely to eliminate wrinkles. The effects are not permanent, lasting for between three and six months, but are usually quite impressive. Further treatments can then be done as needed.
