Your surgery is considered "day surgery". Many of our patients do not live in the area, which can make going home after surgery difficult. We have taken our patients comfort into consideration and are proud to give our them a new option in their recovery process. We now provide you a place to recuperate, making it easier for you to recover right after surgery. Located only 15 minutes from the office, our Lakeside Apartment is quiet and provides a great way to start your healing process. Please read the following information carefully and if you have any questions, please ask.

1. Whenever you have "out patient" surgery, you need to have someone with you. Whether you recover at home, in a hotel or in our Lakeside Apartment, your caregiver (friend or relative) must be available to be with you as soon as one hour after surgery (this time varies from person to person). Your caregiver must also be willing to help you with anything you will need (i.e. changing bandages, bathing).

2. If you are unable to bring your own caregiver with you, we can provide one, and this can be discussed in more detail when scheduling your procedure.

3. If you are having cosmetic surgery, there is no charge for the apartment the day of surgery. If there is space available and you would like to stay an extra night, you can for a fee of $80 a night.

4. Each bedroom has 2 beds, where you will be asked to share a room with your caregiver. There is also a separate living/entertainment area. Because there may be other patients recuperating as well, we ask that you be considerate and respect patients' desire for quiet and privacy. Please keep the volume on the television or stereo low. Confidentiality is very important and we ask you to respect others privacy. Please do not ask what procedure they have had unless they offer the information themselves. We will not discuss other patients.
